Our debut in France!

Me and the boys just got back from playing at the Festival Country Rendez-Vous Craponne sur Arzon in France this past weekend. Being my first time to play in the country, or in Europe for that matter, I wasn't sure what to expect. It was pretty surreal to see a bunch of people that didn't speak English singing our songs and participating in choreographed line dances to our music. Thank you for an amazing time and until next time, "Laissez le bon temps rouler!"

"Bottom Of The Fifth" goes to #1

Thank you!!! I want to thank everyone at radio and all the fans that requested "Bottom of the Fifth" on your favorite station. Without y'all none of this would be possible and I sure do appreciate it! This marks our fourth song to reach the top of the Texas charts, and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon. We'll be releasing some new music in the near future, so stay tuned!

New record in the works!

Hey friends, I just wrapped up the recording phase of a new record I hope to have out a couple months from now. I'm very excited for y'all to hear this new project, as I feel it is the best musical representation of myself to date. The biggest musical influences in my life would have to be Hank Williams, Keith Whitley, George Strait and Alan Jackson. With this record, I had the opportunity to take a step back in time when country music was actually "country" and put together eight new tracks to represent the style I love the most. Can't wait for you to hear it, stay tuned!

Austin.com Review of "Bottom Of The Fifth"

I want to give a shout out to the great folks at Austin.com for reviewing my new EP "Bottom Of The Fifth" and for diggin' it!!

"With his latest EP Bottom of the Fifth, Austinite and east Texas native Curtis Grimes has created a bright and soulful EP that pays tribute to his time as a college baseball star and his childhood growing up in the Lone Star State. Taking in the sounds of Alan Jackson, George Straight, and Merle Haggard, Bottom of the Fifth quickly moves into familiar territory for anyone who can identify with Grimes’ background, and that’s not a bad thing at all."
"If there’s any justice in the music industry, this album should pave the road to success for Grimes. He’s an artist who shows much promise."

To the best fans a guy could ask for....

Thank you!

"Bottom of The Fifth" is here and we've had a great first week!  Huge thanks to everyone has picked it up on iTunes, or your other favorite digital store.  This project got started back in January and we've had a lot of fun with it!  These 5 songs are near and dear to me and your response has been so humbling.  To be able to get out on the road to support the release, meet so many new fans and catch up with you guys that have been with me for so long, is a true blessing.

As y'all know, we put together an amazing prize package with our friends over at Cinch (www.cinchjeans.com) and the number of contest entries blew us away.  It just wrapped up and the announcement of our winner will be coming your way on social media any day now.  The winner and one lucky guest will have a big time in Vegas this December with roundtrip airfare, 3 nights stay, NFR tickets, catch a couple shows with me and will be outfitted with a wardrobe furnished by Cinch.  Stay tuned for that announcement coming very soon!

One final note, your support of "Smile That Smile" has been HUGE.  Thanks to you, we're up into the TOP 15 on the Texas charts and with your continued support and requests, let's make this another big #1 record!  We'll have some great new content coming your way to share with your friends and family!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

Grimesgiving 2014

As our second annual Grimesgiving event approaches, I wanted to share with you how this event came about.  We have been playing a hometown area show during the Thanksgiving holiday for a the past few years now, and last year we decided to team up with a local charity to help families during the holiday season. After a couple of meetings and a visit to the East Texas Food Bank, I was able to witness first-hand the help they provide to families in need. It really opened my eyes to the number of people in East Texas who rely on them to feed their family. This sparked the idea to have a food drive in conjunction with our annual show in Tyler. The non-perishable food items you bring to Cavendar's on Tuesday, November 25th, or to the show at Coach's and Cowboys on Friday, November 28th, will be used to help replenish the food bank at a time when it is needed most. Your help has been and will continue to be greatly appreciated for contributing to this important cause that directly benefits people in our hometown area. Thanks for helping us take care of the community. I'm looking forward stocking up barrels of groceries with your help!
